    VRAY Network Rendering

Hi. I have 4 pcs + win7 64 bit. I want to use them to render with vray. I have a question
Where do I have to put the maps of the scene in order to be used from all 4 pcs. Because I had tried it with an older vray (a long time ago...in a galaxy far away...lol) but the other pcs could only see the models not the maps (the rendered parts from the other pcs had no maps)

    Thanx in advance

PS. If someone could make a detailed guide with screen shots on how to create such a renderfarm it would be great. I dont remember how I did it. I had added the other machine (I had 2 that time) somewhere at vray sttings inside max)

    check it out
Easy Setup - V-Ray Network Rendering in 5 Steps

maps folder must be assigned for each Max at the four PCs by using one of the followings:
    1. maps folder in network path --> 4 PCs read maps from there (in custom user paths)
    2. assign maps folder path for each Max at the 4 PCs

For "2" you mean I go to 3dsmax custom folders, I assign a path at each pc's hard drive and I copy the maps there?

and another question. For the indirect illumination cache (I dont remember how its called-that file that stores the cache on the drive ) do I have to do the same (set it the maps path?

PS.I didnt see the HELP Section and I posted it at the loft room. Maybe an admin move this there.thanx and sorry for the wrong place post

    - for light cache and irradiance map you can use a network path.

    - an easy way for the maps is to copy all the textures into maps folder of 3dsmax in each system.

I did what the tutorial says, I disbled the firewall at all machines but vray window says "could not connect to host 192.168.5/4/2"
Only the main machine renders (PC01) ... PC02 PC03 PC04 dont render at all
when I press resolve servers I get their ips
