the next realise is soon, take one look
Small Annoying Things (SATs) is about all the little annoying quirks and problems in 3ds Max that you might have gotten used to over the years but that might benefit from a second look.

indeed this is "SMALL little thing" update, theres nothing new in there....double click select in poly already done years back in maxscript, Cline (creating line with rotate or another) already done years back in ms......really man.....max become so suck....if autodesk want to improve ...improve the viewport performance as light as posible, not buggy as posible....I dont care if they want to release it 2 years from now on....but really man ....this is suck....nothing new , just another implemented and idea got from master maxscript in scriptspot........suck/......I want viewport performance better than C4D when in huge poly count , not buggy ,and scattering toool like forest pack pro.........

all these small things should be in new SP for 3dsmax 2012 it`s not worth it to wait for 2013 release
, then they can work on real new things for 2013

All small improvements should be implemented in 2011 as (sp3) version autodesk always late !!!!!!!!!!!!
only fast at relishing the new version
most off the people in th industry now started working on max 2011 version!!!
Good News anyway

Nice fixes even if it shoud be fixed long time ago instead of showing new adds
But the major fix i wish to see is for : damaged Max file sitelf after crashes ! that's the most painful thing that happens to a max user

Well... I would love to see simple things get fixed... for instance the Snap system or the quickslice tool.
Its a pain to achieve perpendicular actions like cut edges or faces.

The 3ds max or 3ds Design, only need is a view like "AutocadView", for work in 2d lines to extrude, with commands (line, trim, offset etc.), to speed the work. I think this is a real tool to use.

you have trim, outline, lines&splines inside Max
-
Anything to speed up my workflow is considered worth while to me.

it's there in the spline option command prob he don't now

Autodesk has posted another sneak peek video showing development work on 3ds Max – in this case, updates to the MassFX unified physics simulation framework.
The ‘over the shoulder’ video, posted on Ken Pimentel’s blog, shows the new mCloth cloth simulation system, used in conjunction with the existing mRigids and a standard particle system.
Cloth and particles and rigid bodies, oh my
According to the tool designer: “This scene is a MassFX simulation that includes mRigids (using a new concave meshes option), mCloth objects, breakable Constraints, and mCloth tearable cloth. A lot of the scene geometry (all the stacks of logs) were stacked running separate simulations, just to get a nice realistic distribution, and then baked into their final positions.”
“The highlight of the simulation is the use of standard Max forces. The forces used include a spherical Gravity, two PBombs, and a Vortex field. These affect the rigid bodies, and mCloth, which not only reacts to the forces, but is also capable of respecting pinned verts and tearing under the influence of the force.”
Again, there’s no word about when the new simulation features will find their way into a commercial release, but given the timing, and that Pimentel mentions beta testers in his post, we imagine sooner rather than later.

Maybe e finally get a fast cloth simulation in Max. Something in the lines of Marvelous Designer would be cool.
Max actual cloth simulator is painfully slow.
-
Yes, there are trim, combine etc. in 3ds max but not like autocad, with the same ocurancy and speed.
-
I hope the mirror tool is fixed in 2013. I agree that snapping and spline tools work better in autoCad.
-
These all small things are fixed in the year 2012 then why wait for the 2013.

a user friendly and nice looking hair system ... please ... and improved skinning ... one can dream ...

Yes, he is a good script developer, did a few very good and cool scripts.
But no, he doesn't work at AD
-
Reminds me of Zbrush Zsphere in a way
-
This actually a very clever way of modeling.
I wonder if it has any aplication in the architecture visualization field...

-
cannot wait for max 2013...
