    Easy 3D Design programs suggestions

    Hi guys,

Some friends of mine are trying to develop an MMOrpg, at the moment it's just a demo for non-commercial use. They asked me to look into 3D design, as most of them are programmers. As I'm kinda new to actual 3D design, I'm mostly looking for programs that make it easy to create models, such as Quidam 3.5 for characters, where you have basic models and you just manipulate them to what you want, so you don't have to build from scratch.

I'm still looking for programs to create:
    -Buildings.
-Objects, such as furniture and weapons.
-Characters, never bad to have an extra program .
    -Textures.

We need to be able to export the models to Maya or 3DsMax, or a plug in that does the same in these programs.

If anyone would know a program that could "create" the previous things, in the same way as Quidam does it for characters, I would be really grateful.
A download link is always appreciated .

    Thank you very much guys.
There is still hope. - Arwen Evenstar

As a programmer myself (.net/C#), who plays around with 3D programs also, then I would say that the fastest way would be to just stick to 3Ds Max, and use some of the many royality free 3d figures for it. There are really a ton of free models for that program, and also A LOT of great tutorials for it on the web. And you can easily change the models as you like.

If you want to do the models your self, then you will most likely have to install a plugin/program for each kind of 3D models that you want. Like one for plants, another one for clothes and so on and on.
So the fastest way is to simply use other peoples great and free work.

The second best (not free, but just as fast) way, is to use daz3d.com They have a free version of one of their 3D prorgam, called Daz Studio, and you can even get all their 3D programs for free right now. They also have a ton of great 3D models, where some are free, and others have a fair price. Some as low as $1, if you are a paying member of their site. They can also be immported into 3Ds Max - because 3Ds Max can almost import everything
And if money is a problem, then you can even find A LOT of their 3D models on torrent sites, like Demonoid. Iīm sure you can find the first 500Gb of Daz3D/poser models on Demonoid.com and thatīs A LOT of 3D models

And NO program can give you the same amount of 3D models, as those 2 options in the same amount of time. At least NOT from what I know of. Not unles you want to spend countless hours making them your self.

So, in my opinion, it would simply be fastest to just use some of the many royality free models, there can be found on the internet.
